While the knife angel is Plymouth, we have been providing education inputs to local primary and secondary schools around knife carrying and how to stay safe. This is the first time we have provided education to primary schools, specifically about knife carrying.
Education is part of our prevention work. We teach young people that knife carrying doesn't make them safer, in fact it can put them in more danger of being hurt by a knife.
We also provide information about how to get help if they are concerned about knife carrying in their community.
Last week we went to visit Ford Primary School in Plymouth to meet the Year 6 students and our PC Hart gave them a lesson and a quiz.
Year 6 aced the quiz and hopefully now have the knowledge and information they need if they come across any knife-related issues.
